I'd say there is no scientific or freethinking going on from your side. True science
looks at the evidence and then tries to reach a conclusion. If there really were
millions of years of evolution going on, there would be an irrefutable fossil
record science would be able to display to prove evolution. But that record doesn't
exist, yet some still cling to the belief that evolution did occur. That has to
be a religious belief, since it requires so much faith to believe that all that
is either came from (choose one) nothing and mysteriously formed into what we
see now or it was all one huge object and exploded to produce the varied planets
and space objects we see. Then you have to believe life came from nothing and
then that all of the varied species came from the single-cell living organism!
I don't have enough faith to begin to believe that.

that have insulted you. I do not agree with how you go about stating your opinion
by insulting Jesus Christ, even though I know that you have little regard for

as an "evil text", claiming that it has been the cause of great misfortunes
and crimes against humanity. You went on to list many evils that you believed
were caused by the Bible. It is a wonder how you know the difference between good

but please consider this verse when you think that Jesus Christ is nonsense; "For
the word of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who
are being saved it is the power of God" 1Cor1:18. If you have a Bible, I
encourage you to read on past that verse if indeed you are open-minded, it goes
on to talk about wisdom and foolishness and philosophers of the world. Please
consider looking more closely at the Bible and at the Gospel of Jesus. If you
research it and find it to be false the you have confirmed your philosophies,

to respond to the ignorant, the uneducated, or those who are obviously young and
immature. I am an OB/GYN and grew up in S.F. As a product of the public schools,
and the State College system, I was absolutely certain that evolution was fact.
As I probed deeper, I realized that the theory was deeply flawed, and that there
must be more to our existence. That lead me to search for answers. At that point
I was convinced of intelligent design, but in no way sold on Jesus as my savior.
I studied all of the main world religions, and many new age ones as well. They
all left me with more questions than answers.....that is until I took an honest
look at the Bible. I did everything I could to pick it apart and tear it down.
Unfortunately, as I dove deeper into apologetics, I got the scare of my life.
There were too many elements of history and fact to deny. No other faith on earth
cane claim such accuracy and fulfillment of prophecy. Guys, I truly am a "free
thinker" and I have realized that as such, my capacity for understanding
is limited. That is what faith is.....trusting that which you can not see or touch.
The historicity of Jesus cannot be denied. His miracles can be, but there is a
lot of evidential corroboration to support them. A Biblical Scholar by the name
of Chuck Missler in N. Idaho (whom I have had the pleasure of knowing) has helped
me to dive deeper into the Bible than I ever thought I would. I have become a
novice apologist, and the evidence is mind-blowing). I want to apologize for the
attacks that you sustain on this board, but I also want to ask that you not attack
God for the actions of flawed human beings. I also would like to ask you: Do you
avoid responding to those on this board who might challenge your belief or may
be intellectually superior? If you are doing nothing more than selling a bunch
of stuff to make a buck...I would say you have a good gig going. But, if you really
believe the propaganda, I would encourage you to investigate the subject further.

this page a couple of months ago, I was discouraged by the ridiculous entries
made by the "opponents". Well, I'm happy to say that the "support"
side is moving in to the lead. For the guy that wowed us all by quoting Carl Sagan
who said "evolution is fact" - thanks for that, if my man Carl said
it, put it in the bank. I mean, come on, all you have to do is "look at disease,
whales, humans, anything". Never mind the fact that all diseases that evolve
loose part of their genetic code, they don't gain anything (it could be assumed
that it could eventually evolve itself right into oblivion). Oh, and would that
be Micro-evolution or Macro? How bout that Ron Wik who "thinks" Jesus
said something but never actually read the "evil text" - a true scholar.
And as one supporter pointed out "human societies since the beginning of
time have felt the need to make up elaborate and fanciful tales...". Amazing
that the same people that wrote the Bible were lucky enough to prophesize events
hundreds of years before they happened and in amazing detail. For the educated
guy with the college friends that know better than to be religious, being in the
field of science myself, I can assure you that many of your educated friends believe
evolution only because they were intimidated by the staff that told them it is
fact - they have no experience beyond the cute little photos they were shown when
they attended biology 101. Oh yea, and I bet that all the actual proof of evolution
supported micro-evolution. I could go on and on, but I won't. I will leave you
with this, while another supporter writes that the opponents don't present any
facts, where are they on the supporter side? You crazy mixed up atheists, your

faith in it is one of the dumbest things a person can do. Science is a flawed
system that uses flawed equipment which is operated by imperfect humans. Science
has been wrong so many times in the past. Think of all the great philosophers
and scientists of history who "knew" and "proved" that the
earth was the center of the universe. Well with advances in science we know that
is not true. And just like the flat earth theory that every great philosopher
and scientist "knew" to be true. The Bible revealed that the earth was
spherical many years before science proved it. Astronomers used to think there
were only about a few thousand stars in the universe; the Bible, in one of its
oldest books, compares the number of stars in the sky to the number of grains
of sand on a beach--a lot more than a few thousand I'd say. Then we have the practice
that DOCTORS once used--draining a person of his blood when he had a disease to
try and heal him. This was probably the process that was instrumental in leading
to George Washington's death. The Bible says in Leviticus 17:11(I listed reference
just so you don't think I'm pulling these examples out of nowhere) that the source
of life for the flesh is in a person's blood. There are plenty more examples but
I don't want to ramble on forever. Basically my point is that science has been
wrong many times throughout history and quite a few times, it has contradicted
the Bible. And every time, when scientific knowledge and technology progressed,
science ended up proving itself wrong and that the Biblical stance on the issue
was indeed true. So now again we have another great debate. Science's Evolution
vs. the Bible's Creation theory. Well if history repeats itself - as it so often
does - I'd have to say that the chances for evolution's being truth are severely
in jeopardy. Even if the world's most gifted scholars embrace evolution and there
seems to be so much evidence to support it, it is just a rerun of history. All
of the world's greatest philosophers and scholars embraced ideas contrary to the
Bible and those who opposed them were ridiculed and tortured for their stance.
And there seemed to be so much evidence to support the theories of these scholars
too, but as time went on we found that their methods were flawed and that their
theories were not true. And today the same thing is happening. All the scholars,
professors, and scientists with multiple degrees following their name are embracing
evolution and choosing to oppose the Bible. Well who is to say that several or
a few hundred years down the road science does not advance to the point where
we can test for certain to see how the universe was created. Do you think history
will repeat itself yet again and it will be Evolution succumbing to Creationism?
Maybe we'll find out that the methods used to prove these "theories"
were flawed just like all the times throughout history when similar confrontations
between the Bible and science occurred. So now comes the point of decision: On
one hand we have science that changes just about every day. We progress scientifically
and we come to the realization that past scientific theories were flawed and have
to be reevaluated and possibly reversed. I'm not saying that that is a bad thing.
It's good that we progress and advance technologically for mankind's betterment.
It was established in the Bible that man's responsibility is to "subdue"
the earth (Genesis 1). The Bible is not against technological advancement; rather,
it commands man to take control of the earth and the things in it and use it to
gain knowledge from it and to advance in our ways of living.

that you make, there is one in particular that I find to be extremely ignorant.
In one of your responses you write, "The Bible serves as both a blueprint
and justification for racism, slavery, genocide...". While you can no doubt
find examples where people have used and still use the teachings in the Bible
as you have mentioned, there is another religion that has played a much bigger
part in justifying racism, slavery and genocide. That would be the religion of
evolution. The theory of evolution states that there is continual progression
in which a given species becomes more refined and superior to previous species
(though science has proved that mutations do not work in this fashion). The implication
of this is that darker skinned humans would be closer to primates in both physical
and mental abilities - that is extremely racist. When Darwin released his book,
entire tribes were wiped out in places like Australia because it was believed
that these people were nothing more than animals and they were also used for research
purposes. Hitler used this theory to support his idea that his race was superior.
If you look at the writings and research done by many modern day evolutionist
you will find that they acknowledge that the theory of evolution is in fact racist.
With that being said, I would suggest that you set the example and have all of
your evolution based ideas and products "dumped into the rubbish bin of history
where they belong" much as you hope the Bible will be.

I wouldn't sit here and tell you or anyone else they are wrong because they are
not of my belief, but I would listen to their views and then explain mine, hoping

and all I can do is try to help them. Being "open-minded" entails that
you listen to all viewpoints and draw your judgments from that, but I think that
you are conveying that you really don't care about other beliefs, only that of
your own and making a profit off what you believe in. Please do not just read
this and forget it. Really think about what I've said. Read other materials about
Christianity, written by a Christian and then see what you think. I know this
is somewhat repetitive, but I cannot stress to you enough the importance of your
decision here and no good decision can come from a lack of education on the subject
to which it pertains. Though you make think the Bible to be a fictitious book,
it was in fact written over a span of thousands of years, with corresponding stories
and maps from thousands of different people that couldn't have even known each
other. There are even factual maps of the areas mentioned in that time. You should
try reading it sometime. You might actually enjoy it. God is the only one who
can fill that void you are still missing. I know you feel it, that yearning for
something you don't have, and no matter what things you do to try and fill it,
it never goes away. It just sits there, empty and waiting. Fill it.

I think your products and philosophies are: I was very happy with your
site. I even compiled a list of 14 stickers that I was prepared to order. I am
a Catholic Radical who has been opposed to public money for Catholic Schools.
However, the commentary that you wrote with your final sticker was so broad and
so incriminating of all Catholic Schools that I am really unable to order from
your site. I hope that you decide to change the commentary to one that does not
incriminate all schools and clergy. I grew up in Catholic schools, and my identity
was formed by many amazing priests and nuns, the majority of whom were committed
to justice, and several of whom were very vocal socialists. The anguish they feel,
after making their lives sacrifices for peace and justice is something that I
don't think we can even imagine. Now they are subsumed into a stereotype of catholic
clergy that turns them into corrupt criminals by association. Please consider
changing your commentary.! It was very upsetting. The sticker wasn't bad, but
the generalizations were.

Christian. I would like to point out that the stickers, shirts, magnets, etc.
all show dogmatic views and complete intolerance for Christianity. Yes, I do take
a dogmatic approach to the Scriptures as they are the Word of God, but I wanted
you to observe that you are also taking a dogmatic stance, and I thought that
as the Liberal view seems to be "Everything is relative, there is no absolute
truth," that a dogmatic stance on that would show a contradiction in the
philosophy. (Please forgive the run-on sentence.) Also, if tolerance is what you
preach, why is it that Christianity cannot be tolerated? The Microsoft Encarta
Dictionary defines tolerance as "the acceptance of the differing views of
other people, e.g., in religious or political matters, and fairness toward people
who hold these different views." Christianity is a tolerant religion, as
we accept that others have views that differ from ours, and that all are still
treated fairly. However, as Jesus made quite clear when he said "I am the
way, and the truth, and the life: no man may come to the Father, but through me"
(John 14:6), being a Christian means that we must believe that Jesus is the only
way to Heaven, and that nothing else will do. We do not accept other religious
beliefs as true, but we do accept them as beliefs that others have a right to
hold. You may now ask how we can tell others the Good News and not infringe on
their rights to freedom of religion. We cannot make anyone accept Jesus; that
decision must be truly made by the individual. However, looking at it from our
point of view, you must understand that we see others walking towards the slaughter,
and we have a message to give them that can set them free. Of course we want to
share the message of Jesus' death and resurrection, and his triumph over sin!
I do not see how one could say that we are unjust in wanting to literally save
people from eternal punishment. You may not agree with our beliefs, but can you
at least see that in spreading the Gospel we are trying to help others? Thank
you for offering a section in which I may offer my insight into this. I will be
praying for you.

only to bash a straw man. What reason could there be to distribute such offensive
and insulting material other than to hurt people? Even if you disagree with someone
who, for example, protests in front of an abortion clinic, you need to remember
that he or she is still a human being. It's truly disheartening to me to see such
outright attempts to hurt others on an emotional and spiritual level like I have
seen on your website. Do you actually hate these people because they believe in
something that you do not? If not, what purpose are you serving in your dissemination
of this material? For example, why specifically choose the Christian fish symbol
and defile it, or for that matter write the word Christian as "xtian"?

Darwin said that within 100 years of his theory, the fossil record would prove
that evolution occurs from one species to another. That never happened. I am a
Christian and I Love our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ with all my heart, but I
believe that religions are false. They create their own rules and rituals that
you must follow in order to earn your way to heaven. The truth is that God is
not religion. You will never, no matter how hard you try, find a place in the
Bible that states you have to be of a particular religion or denomination in order
to get to heaven. The reason that you will not find this in the Bible is because
religion is made by man, not by God. Humans have complicated the whole thing.
God's intention was so much more simple. The Bible says that because we are all
sinners (no one is perfect), God sent his only begotten Son to die for our sins,
and whoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. God
did not send his Son to create a religion or a denomination. He sent his Son because
he LOVE US SO MUCH and wants to spend eternity with us. Jesus Christ died on the
cross for every sin we have ever committed, and every sin we will ever commit.
And while he was on the cross, he had your name on his mind. And then, right before
he died, he said,"It is finished", meaning that nothing else has to
be done. Then on the third day, Christ rose from the dead. He walked in flesh
and blood among his disciples for about 40 days and then ascended into Heaven.
Jesus fulfilled God's plan for salvation. All we have to do is believe it in our
heart and we will be saved. After that, God will begin to work in our lives. It
is that simple!!! But, if you choose to turn away from God and live a life in
opposition of him, you will go to Hell. I encourage you to think about your eternity.
You believe there is no God. But what if you are wrong? I pray that you will seriously
consider this. I have read al lot of the comments made by those that oppose your
website and your beliefs therein, and some of them say awful things to you, and
then claim to be Christians. I want to apologize on behalf of them, because they
are not properly representing the loving God who is in Heaven or his Son Jesus
Christ. They are just angry, but that does not justify some of things I have read.
I want you to know that no matter what you have done in your entire life, God
still loves you and is waiting to hear from you. If you want to receive Jesus
Christ into your heart and into your life, all you have to do is pray a simple
prayer. It can be one similar to this, "Dear God, I know that I am a sinner,
but I accept and believe what you did for me by sending your only Son to die for
me, so that I can have everlasting life and be washed clean of my sins. I ask
you, Jesus, to come into my heart and live in me, and guide my paths. I thank
you Lord for the Sacrifice you made for me. Amen." If you just prayed this
prayer, you are now a child of God! Now you should get a Bible and start reading
about the God that loves you. I always tell new believers that a good book to
read first is the book of John. You should also find a good Christian church to
meet people and be encouraged in your personal relationship with Jesus. Just remember,
God does not want religion, he wants personal relationships with each and every
one of us. Church is great, as long as its founders do not attempt to add to what
Christ did on the cross. I will be praying for you, whoever you are, and I hope

are truly free thinkers, then think on the possibility that a supreme being created
life as we know it on this planet and possibly billions of others through evolutionary
processes. You might find that you and the Catholic Pope are in agreement on this
item. If your goal is to spite creationism, then you are wasting your efforts
with your evolve fish. Yes, I believe that a supreme being, whom most call God,
created man. He did it through the evolutionary process described by Darwin.

However fanatical theists and deists can be, in accepting their religions blindly,
it is just as bad to reject blindly. I believe that people's religious/spiritual
views should be changing and growing constantly. I am not a Christian, I am not
a Jew, I am not a Hindu... I am a spiritual mutt, taking moral and philosophical
views from wherever makes sense to me. Try on some stoic philosophy, and you'll
see a bit of Christianity. Enjoy a Taoist view and you find a bit of pacifism.
The Bible, the Torah, they are just full of stories. Although there are people
who don't read into them, and take them for face value, the teachings in there
are meant to be just that: like Aesop's fables, they merely teach lessons. Jesus
was an enlightened man who never meant to begin a cult following, he just wanted
to give knowledge to those around him of things that he learned when he traveled
in India and Africa and other places. The stories of healing the blind and walking
on water could be true, they could be false, but most likely they were embellishments,
to add to his reputation as a magical divine being. That reputation only was propagated
after his death. He didn't die for us, and we aren't all guilty of original sin:
how can a two minute old newborn baby be guilty of any sin? But these stories
are just fables, to teach the children morality and ethics. So if you tell us
you are skeptical, be skeptical, but when you say you have an open mind, have
an open mind to everything. My agnosticism has never gotten in the way of my philosophies,
but I think yours might have...

(most of my relationships have been with other women), but abortion is the one
issue on which I suppose my position is conservative. Every woman DOES have a
choice - have sex or don't. If a woman doesn't want to have children, she shouldn't
have sex. If I get pregnant (which some day soon I intend to), it's not my body
anymore. I'm sharing it. It's silly to think you should be able to initiate the
reproductive process (unprotected) and not reproduce. Now, contraceptives do fail.
So there should be a time limit (ending after the time it normally takes for a
brain to form) for abortions past which as illegal abortion is prosecuted as manslaughter.
(Man's Laughter? weird spelling...) I don't agree with the old belief that a male
should 'sow wild oats' and a woman shouldn't, but sex isn't some sport. Even with
a woman, who can't get me pregnant no matter HOW careless we are =), I regard
sex as something that means she and I are very much in love. If you're not ready
to be a mother with a man, how are you ready to sleep with him at all? A woman
who is raped, of course, was given no choice and (unless she has ten tons of gumption)
shouldn't be given the burden of bearing the child. Ideally, she would bear the
child with state guarantee (and health coverage from the state) that she could
give it up for adoption. So many of the world's problems exist because people
have unprotected sex. Not having the option of an abortion (since she's already
made the CHOICE to have sex) is yet more incentive not to have sex. Responsibilities
are more important than rights. And which is worse - a woman having to bear a
child she knew she might have if she had sex, or a child losing its life? A fetus
is human in every biological sense of the word. It has more right to LIVE than
its mother has to kill it.
