Participants are Dr. Keith Parsons, professor of Philosophy at the University of Houston-Clear Lake; and Dr. O. Gerald Trigg, the Senior Pastor of the First United Methodist Church in Colorado Springs since 1980. Dr. Parson's publications include: God and the Burden of Proof (Prometheus, 1990), Why I am not a Christian (Freethought Press, 2000), and Drawing Out Leviathan: Dinosaurs and the Science Wars (Indiana University Press, 2001). Dr. Parsons has a doctorate in the History and Philosophy of Science from the University of Pittsburgh (1996) and a doctorate from Queen's University (Canada) in Philosophy (1986). In 1998, he debated the venerable Dr. William Lane Craig on "Why I am/am not a Christian" in front of an audience of over 4000! Dr. Parsons is the founding editor of Philo, the official journal of the Society of Humanist Philosophers. Dr. Trigg received his bachelor and master's degrees from Vanderbilt University and a Doctorate of Divinity from DePauw University in 1976. Dr. Trigg was the University Minister at DePauw when he was named the 1980 Merrill Fellow at Harvard. He has been a long time proponent of inter-faith unity, which has garnered him national praise (along with some criticism). He sits on the advisory board for Citizen's Project in Colorado Springs and serves on the Iliff School of Theology's Executive Committee and Academic Affairs Committee. Dr. Trigg speaks with one of the most respected voices in the Rocky Mountain Region.
