The satirical soundtrack for Roy's fifty-state campaign. A collection of twelve fiercely funny songs about the absurdities of this election season, all recorded live. There's a song for the Republican nominee, "The Man, the Myth, the McCain," an Obama song sung to a tune by Mozart, "Eine Kleine Barackmusik" and the headline that screamed for a melody, "Ted Haggard Is Completely Heterosexual." One song imagines a romantic encounter between George Bush and the nation of Iraq. "I'll Pull Out," he promises. The title track is Roy's heartbreaking take on those "Support Our Troops" bumper stickers, and what that support must feel like to one of those troops. The CD starts with the words, "A message of hope from the great Bay Area..." and ends with the words, "...I am" - a de facto statement of Roy's purpose in creating "Thanks for the Support" and taking it to every corner of this country.
